Welcome to our Volume 7 QuickStart manual. This was written as a brief document to give you a quick overview of the various files that are found on our CD Rom Disc. This QuickStart manual will also take you step by step though the simple installation of our software onto your hard drive. If you would like, a copy of this or any other manuals can be output to your printer by selecting Print from the file menu.
When you double clicked our CD, VOL_7_ PHOTODISC icon, our main folder appeared and you found the 5 folders listed below.

PC_USERS
TIFF
JPEG
QUICKSTART (This is the file you are currently reading.)
The TIFF and JPEG folders contain 3 sub folders apiece. These folders house the Low-Res (TIFF) and High Res (JPEG) images which are found on our disc. If you wish to view an image directly without using our Lightbox management system, you can double click on any of the files found within these folders.
The image numbers and the numbers found in the printed catalogs correspond with each other in the following way. Volume 7 printed catalog number for an image is shown as 001. On the CD ROM in the above folders, the same photo would be displayed as, 7001.TIFF.
The first number is the Volume number while the next three digits correspond to the specific image numbers found on that Volume. TIFF or JPEG would follow according to the file format of that image.
The next folder you should open is either the MACINTOSH_USER or PC_USER folders based on the type of system you are using. For PC users, the MACINTOSH_USER folder will not open even though it is still on the PhotoDisc CD Rom.
Both USER folders contain Part II of this QuickStart manual so they should be the first files you read. Don't worry these manuals are only about two pages long so they will not take more than a few minutes to read.
